Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative to be the primary contact for medical professionals, delivering clinical product knowledge and guiding customers through a complex payer environment. The role supports the district with marketing strategy and brand promotion, while maintaining strong relationships and achieving sales objectives.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications for Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience.
• Basic Qualifications for Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related.
• Preferred Qualifications include sales/clinical experience in pharma/biotech and related fields.
• Open to candidates of various backgrounds; role level based on match to qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
• Deliver branded sales messages and promotional programs; meet or exceed sales targets.
• Develop relationships to service accounts and manage access, contracts, and reimbursement issues.
• Provide feedback on marketing strategy and territory plans with the District Manager.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and grow in the role.
• Demonstrate passion for Amgen’s products throughout the sales cycle.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

Associate degree with 4 years of Sales experience

High school diploma/GED with 6 years of Sales experience

Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience
