Job summary

TruStage is seeking an experienced Claims Specialist in Madison, WI to advance large and complex bond claims. You will investigate, negotiate, and settle claims with adherence to policy provisions and laws, while maintaining strong client communications.

The role requires 3+ years of claims experience, an adjuster license (with company support to obtain if needed), and excellent written/verbal skills. Hybrid work options, company awards, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent industry experience. Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
• 3+ years of claims experience (fidelity claims experience preferred).
• Adjuster license is required; TruStage will assist in obtaining licenses within 6 months of start date.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to draft business-level communications.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and adjust claims according to applicable laws and policy provisions.
• Conduct claim investigations including recorded statements, securing public records, and analyzing report findings.
• Examine claim forms and records to confirm coverage for loss or damage.
• Review and settle claims within prescribed limits of authority.
• Issue payments or deny claims in a timely manner per policy conditions.
• Negotiate settlements with customers or their representatives.
• Document subrogation opportunities and refer accordingly.
• Collaborate with internal support teams and management as appropriate.
