Job summary

Amcor LLC in Mundelein, IL seeks a Technical Specialist to lead a sub-section of production, ensuring optimal machine production, quality, and safety. The role supports cross-training, OJT, and continuous improvement within a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

You will collaborate across departments to address process issues, apply TPM and 6S, and drive efficiency while maintaining safety standards and strong team morale.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of production experience in Blown Film Extrusion.
• Assure 5S, and standardized work compliance and development.
• Uphold Amcor’s commitment to safety, take care of self and co-workers and follow safety procedures and prevent injuries.
• Demonstrated ability to work with electronic systems including: AS400, Lotus Notes, etc.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the supervisor, ensure the department complies with policies and safety requirements.
• Develop team members, provide cross training, and assist in on-the-job training and skill development.
• Drive 6S, TPM and Tier Board programs; support continuous improvement and associate engagement.
• Interact with plant departments to address process problems (Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Customer Service, Finance).
• Lead process improvement activities and identify best practices to improve plant efficiencies.
