Job summary

Austin Powder is seeking a Blaster to oversee shot design and execution at customer sites. Responsibilities include reviewing drill patterns, communicating blast details, and ensuring safe detonation operations.

The role requires ATF licensure, knowledge of initiation systems, and the ability to work outdoors in mining environments. Travel to customer locations within the geographic area will be required.

Qualifications

• Must meet all state and federal explosive laws and be an ATF explosive possessor.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work outdoors in active mining environments.

Responsibilities

• Review drill patterns and layouts to meet customer needs.
• Communicate blast details to all on site.
• Prepare and detonate shots safely and successfully.
• Conduct pre/post Shot Safety Audits per policy.
• Ensure crew complies with customer procedures.
• Coordinate handling of issues and public concerns with APC personnel.
• Maintain safe work environment; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Complete paperwork per policies and agencies.
