Job summary

Austin Powder seeks a Blaster to conduct field tests, interpret drill patterns, and coordinate detonation operations with site personnel. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and adherence to customer policies for on-site blasting services.

Qualifications

• Must meet state and federal explosive laws and be qualified as an ATF explosive possessor.
• Clear verbal and written communication is required.
• Ability to hear and respond to active mining site conditions.

Responsibilities

• Review drill patterns and diagrams to determine shot layout.
• Communicate blast details to all personnel on site.
• Prepare and detonate shots safely and successfully.
• Conduct pre/post Shot Safety Audits and document per policy.
• Ensure crew complies with customer policies and address issues and concerns.
• Maintain safety and health at the location, customer sites, and during transit.
• Comply with inventory procedures and company policies.
