Job summary

Austin Powder is seeking a Blaster to perform field tests, determine explosive needs, and detonate shots while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires coordinating with site personnel and documenting each operation.

The ideal candidate will hold an ATF-compliant blaster license, be 21+ years old, and able to communicate clearly. Travel to customer sites is expected as part of this on-site field position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21+ years old as required by ATF.
• Current blaster’s license as required by state.
• Experience of all initiation systems, laser profiling, and seismographs

Responsibilities

• Review drill patterns and determine shot layout.
• Communicate blast details to crew on site.
• Prepare and detonate shots safely and effectively.
• Conduct pre/post Shot Safety Audits and document events.
• Ensure compliance with customer policies.
• Coordinate handling of client issues and public concerns.
• Maintain safe work environment and comply with regulations.
• Complete required paperwork and reporting.
