Austin Powder seeks a skilled Blaster to conduct field tests, determine shot layouts, and detonate shots while maintaining thorough documentation and safety compliance. You will coordinate with on-site personnel and APC staff to address customer needs and incidents.

Ideal candidates have ATF explosive possessor qualifications, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to work at mining sites in varied weather.

Qualifications

• Must meet all state and federal explosive laws and qualify as ATF explosive possessor.
• Clear written and verbal communication is required.
• Ability to work on an active mining site and observe safety protocols.

Responsabilités

• Review drill patterns and diagrams to determine shot layout meeting customer needs.
• Communicate blast details with all personnel on site.
• Prepare and detonate shots safely and effectively.
• Conduct pre/post Shot Safety Audits per policy on all shot events.
• Ensure crew complies with customer policies and procedures.
• Coordinate handling of customer issues and public concerns with APC personnel.
• Maintain regular communication with sales reps and Location Manager about accounts.
• Maintain safe work environment at location, customer sites, and during transit.
• Comply with APC inventory management procedures.
• Complete paperwork or software entries per company policies and regulatory bodies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

21+ years old (ATF requirement)

State Blaster license

Experience with initiation systems, laser profiling, seismographs
