Job summary
National Oilwell Varco seeks a Senior Business Analyst - BlackLine to join the Enterprise Solutions - Financial Applications team in Houston. You will partner with ERP business analysts, Finance leaders, IT, and stakeholders to implement and support BlackLine across global locations.
You will lead workshops, define requirements, and configure BlackLine modules while ensuring data integrity and SOX controls. Hybrid work across global locations is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business/finance related field.
- 5–7 years hands-on BlackLine implementation and support experience.
- Three full lifecycle BlackLine implementations as Functional Lead/Architect or similar.
- Experience configuring BlackLine for Intercompany and close processes.
- Strong business-process analysis, mapping, and future-state design.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a point of contact for BlackLine modules (Account Reconciliations, Journal Entry, Intercompany, etc.).
- Support BlackLine implementations and enhancements.
- Lead functional workshops and requirements sessions with Finance stakeholders.
- Document current and future state processes, rules, and approval hierarchies.
- Configure workflows, roles, templates, and reconciliation formats.
- Architect functional solutions for BlackLine integrations with ERP systems.
- Partner with technical teams on API/file-based integrations and data migration.
- Plan unit, system, and integration testing; provide on-site/remote support as needed.
