Job summary

BlackLine Systems, Inc. seeks a Director of Solution Advisory to lead a skilled team, shape strategic engagement plans, and act as a SME for BlackLine's financial close solutions. You will guide discovery sessions, craft executive-ready demonstrations, and support sales with technical expertise across the full cycle.

You will collaborate with sales, deliver workshops and PoCs, monitor industry trends, and help develop enablement materials while traveling up to 25-40% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, IS, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 10+ years in solution engineering, presales, or consulting with software focus.
• 5+ years in leadership or management of presales or solution advisory teams.
• Deep understanding of GAAP/IFRS and financial close processes.
• Proven ability to present complex concepts to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Solution Advisors.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for Solution Advisory engagement.
• Act as SME on BlackLine's product suite and capabilities.
• Conduct discovery sessions to understand client processes and goals.
• Design and deliver tailored demonstrations to diverse audiences, including executives.
• Collaborate with sales teams throughout the sales cycle, providing technical support.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and proofs of concept.
• Stay abreast of trends and refine solution advisory strategies.
• Contribute to sales enablement materials and training programs.
• Represent BlackLine at industry events and webinars.
• Participate in strategic account planning and client onboarding.
