Tata Technologies designs, engineers, and validates products for leading manufacturers. The Design Release Engineer (BIW) in Auburn Hills will own the release of BIW components, manage CBOM/Quadris, and coordinate with suppliers and Stellantis teams to ensure manufacturability and performance targets.

The role requires strong CAD/PLM proficiency, knowledge of GD&T and DFMEA, and hands-on experience with vehicle body shop launches.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in automotive sheet metal development or related area.
• Proficient in CAD software such as Teamcenter, NX, Vis Pro and PLM systems.
• Strong knowledge of metal forming and joining techniques.
• Familiarity with GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&R, tolerance stack up, and automotive validation testing.
• Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Stellantis change management, release, and warranty systems.

Responsabilidades

• Own and manage design, development, and release of BIW under body components/subassemblies.
• Coordinate with suppliers and plant teams to meet milestones and performance targets.
• Develop and manage CBOM and Quadris for subassemblies.
• Create source package documentation and lead technical reviews with suppliers and Stellantis teams.
• Define and track validation plans (DVP&R, DFMEA, PFMEA) and coordinate testing.
• Provide on-site launch support to address fit, finish, and gating issues.
• Ensure designs meet internal standards and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders across teams.
