Job summary

Verastem Oncology seeks an experienced in-house Paralegal/Contract Manager to join our Legal team. You will manage the contract lifecycle, support cross-functional partners, and own the Agiloft contract management system that underpins contracting across the Legal function.

This role requires an in-house paralegal background in pharma/biotech and autonomy in a lean, fast‑growing environment. You will draft, review, and coordinate legal agreements, ensure SOX-compliant approvals, and maintain

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and ABA paralegal certificate or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of paralegal or legal operations, including 3+ years in-house.
• Experience in pharma/biotech industry preferred.
• Experience administering a contract lifecycle management system.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Draft agreements from approved templates (NDAs, consulting, SOWs, MSAs).
• Coordinate reviews across Legal, Finance, IT and Quality with subject-matter experts.
• Ensure approvals align with policy and SOX requirements.
• Maintain contract system for signatures, renewals, and expirations.
• Conduct compliance checks, FMV determinations, screenings, and disclosures.
• Track budget and engage outside counsel as needed; report periodically.
• Evaluate and implement department technology and create process docs and dashboards.
