Job summary

Verastem, Inc. (Verastem Oncology) seeks an experienced in-house Paralegal/Contract Manager to support the Legal team and manage the Agiloft contract system.

The role combines substantive paralegal work with cross-functional coordination to drive efficient contracting across the company. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with ABA paralegal certification, 5+ years in a paralegal/ops role (pharma/biotech preferred), and proficiency with contract lifecycle tools and e-sign platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and ABA paralegal certificate or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of paralegal or legal operations experience, including in-house roles.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred.
• Experience administering contract lifecycle management systems and e-sign platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for administration of the Agiloft contract management system, including intake, routing, version control, and post-execution maintenance.
• Draft agreements from approved templates (confidentiality, consulting, MSAs, statements of work).
• Coordinate reviews across Legal, Finance, IT, Quality and other experts; escalate non-standard terms as needed.
• Ensure approvals align with company policy and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Maintain contract system for signatures and renewals with advance notices to owners.
• Process contracts with healthcare professionals/organizations; support compliance activities (FMV, exclusions, conflicts, post-delivery deliverables).
• Coordinate onboarding and annual compliance training; track completion and escalation.
• Track contract spend and external counsel engagements; prepare reporting.
• Evaluate and implement department tech; develop process docs, dashboards, metrics.
