Allegro MicroSystems is seeking a Senior Research Associate to join the Manchester Molecular Sensors Laboratory. You will develop, validate, and scale the GMR biosensor platform, translating biological assays into robust sensor-based diagnostics while collaborating with scientists and engineers to drive product development.

• B.S. or M.S. in Biochemistry or related field.
• 3–6 years of hands-on laboratory experience in biotech, diagnostics, medical devices, or related R&D environments.
• Experience with standard laboratory techniques (pipetting, solution prep, dilution series, ELISA, molecular workflows).
• Experience with surface chemistry, bioconjugation, or immobilization of biological capture reagents.
• Strong experimental design, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and statistical tools; experience with JMP, Python or equivalent software is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Execute and optimize biosensor assays across targets and sample matrices (blood, serum, saliva).
• Support development of protein, nucleic acid, and multiplexed assay formats for GMR sensing.
• Contribute to data analysis and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Prepare reagents, buffers, controls, and test samples for R&D activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate assay requirements into system design.
