Job summary

Nova Biomedical in Waltham, MA is seeking a Senior/Staff Scientist to lead the design, development, and optimization of novel biosensors for clinical and biopharmaceutical platforms. You will drive sensor architectures from feasibility through verification, partnering with Materials Science, electrochemistry, and algorithm development teams.

The role requires expertise in potentiometric and amperometric sensors, development of sensor lifetimes, and the translation of lab results to scalable

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant industrial experience for Senior Scientist III.
• 5–7+ years for Staff Scientist level.
• Experience with electrochemical sensors and in vitro diagnostic devices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for amperometric/potentiometric sensor projects.
• Design, develop and optimize biosensor architectures from feasibility to validation.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Regulatory, Quality, and cross‑functional partners.
