Job summary

Nova Biomedical is seeking a Senior/Staff Scientist to lead the design, development, and optimization of novel biosensors for clinical and biopharmaceutical platforms. You will guide sensor architectures from feasibility through verification, working at the interface of electrochemistry, materials science, and algorithm development.

You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory partners while mentoring junior staff and driving projects to production with

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant discipline is required.
• 3–5 years for Senior Scientist III level; 5–7+ years for Staff Scientist level.
• Experience with in vitro diagnostic devices and electrochemical sensors is required.
• Strong problem-solving and data-interpretation skills, with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for amperometric and potentiometric sensor projects.
• Design and optimize novel biosensor architectures from feasibility to validation.
• Develop sensors for electrolytes, metabolites, or gases in clinical biofluids.
• Lead experiments, analyze data, and communicate findings and recommendations.
• Mentor junior scientists and collaborate with manufacturing, regulatory, and QA teams.
