Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a Senior BIOS / UEFI Engineer in Huntsville, AL to develop and customize BIOS for rugged embedded computing platforms. You will start from an AMI/Intel reference BIOS and adapt it to new hardware, collaborating with hardware and firmware teams to bring boards up and move products toward production.

You must have hands-on BIOS development experience, strong C skills, and proven ability to work with cross-disciplinary engineers on design, bring-up, and validation tasks in a

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on BIOS development experience.
• Strong experience developing UEFI BIOS; modern UEFI experience is required.
• Demonstrated experience personally developing BIOS, not just working with systems that use BIOS.
• Experience with BIOS bring-up on newly designed hardware.
• Strong working proficiency in C.
• Ability to perform low-level programming involving registers, memory, and peripherals.
• Experience customizing or porting BIOS to new hardware.
• Strong understanding of hardware/firmware interaction.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site in Huntsville, Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Developing and customizing UEFI BIOS for new products.
• Performing BIOS bring-up on newly designed boards.
• Debugging hardware/firmware issues during initial board startup.
• Working with hardware, FPGA, and other firmware engineers to validate system functionality.
• Supporting interfaces such as USB, PCI Express, SATA, and other board-level functionality.
• Taking BIOS development from initial bring-up through production.
