Job summary

MissionHires in Huntsville, AL is seeking a seasoned BIOS/UEFI specialist to lead development for rugged embedded platforms used in military, aerospace, and industrial applications. You will customize UEFI BIOS from AMI and Intel reference code, and guide boards from bring-up to production.

Responsibilities include bringing up BIOS on new designs, debugging low-level hardware and firmware issues, porting BIOS to new hardware, collaborating with hardware, FPGA, firmware, and software teams, and

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on BIOS development experience.
Strong proficiency in C programming.
Experience bringing up BIOS on new hardware.
Ability to work on-site full-time.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and customize UEFI BIOS for rugged embedded products using AMI and Intel references.
Perform BIOS bring-up on new boards and support platform initialization.
Debug low-level hardware, firmware, and BIOS issues across registers, memory, peripherals.
Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, IPMC, firmware and software teams to validate systems.
Support interfaces including USB, PCI Express, SATA, and related platform functionality.
Port BIOS software to new designs and maintain engineering ownership.
Lead BIOS development from bring-up to production and sustainment.
