Job summary

H. T. PROF Group in Huntsville, AL, seeks a Senior BIOS / UEFI Engineer to lead new product BIOS development. You will start from an AMI/Intel reference BIOS, adapt it to rugged embedded hardware, and own BIOS bring-up from early development to production.

You will collaborate with hardware, FPGA, and firmware teams, solving complex BIOS-level integration and platform initialization challenges on high-reliability systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on BIOS development experience.
• Strong experience developing UEFI BIOS; modern UEFI experience is required.
• Demonstrated experience personally developing BIOS on hardware.
• Experience with BIOS bring-up on newly designed hardware.
• BIOS customization for new hardware and porting to new platforms.
• Experience with Intel reference BIOS and x86/x64 platforms.
• Understanding of hardware/firmware interaction.
• Ability to work with hardware, FPGA, and software teams on bring-up.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing and customizing UEFI BIOS for new products.
• Performing BIOS bring-up on newly designed boards.
• Debugging hardware/firmware issues during initial startup.
• Working with hardware, FPGA, and other firmware engineers to validate system functionality.
• Supporting interfaces such as USB, PCI Express, SATA, and board-level features.
• Taking BIOS development from initial bring-up through production.
