Qualifications

Several years of professional BIOS/UEFI firmware development experience.
Direct experience creating or modifying firmware code, not merely supporting systems that use it.
Background supporting board bring-up activities on newly designed hardware.
Strong knowledge of modern UEFI architecture.
Proficiency in C programming.
Understanding of low-level system operation including registers, memory mapping, and peripheral initialization.
Experience porting or customizing firmware for new platforms.
Familiarity with hardware and firmware interaction during system startup.
Ability to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama.

Responsibilities

Develop and modify UEFI firmware for new embedded computing products.
Support board bring-up and early hardware validation activities.
Diagnose firmware and hardware integration problems.
Work with engineering teams to ensure proper operation of system interfaces and peripherals.
Configure and support technologies such as PCIe, USB, SATA, memory, and processor subsystems.
Guide firmware development through testing, qualification, and production readiness.
