Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD in Biomedical Sciences or related field required.
• 8–10 years related work experience; 4–6 years in Business Development with a deal sheet showing licensing and sponsored research.
• Strong relationship-building skills with academia and industry leaders; well-connected in biopharma.
• Postdoctoral experience preferred; knowledge across oncology, metabolism, cardiovascular and other modalities.
• Excellent writing and PowerPoint skills; ability to draft refined slide decks.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines; strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead external outreach to biopharma for research alliances; identify strategic contacts.
• Support Harvard Faculty PIs and align research with industry needs; refine pitches.
• Represent the office at translational science events and lead panels when appropriate.
• Coordinate meetings, create communications and slide decks for stakeholders.
• Maintain BD database (Airtable); report on pipeline and KPIs to senior leadership.
• Negotiate CDAs and support sponsored research agreement negotiations.
