Job summary

GE HealthCare in Long Island, NY is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) to respond to service calls, diagnose, repair, and perform PM on complex medical equipment at a client site. The role may include site leadership responsibilities.

You will lead technicians, document actions, maintain calibration and spares, and ensure compliance with GE policies. Relocation assistance is provided, and visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years servicing medical equipment.
• Proficient in electronic documentation and Microsoft Office.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and no visa sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and repair complex biomedical equipment; perform PM and safety checks.
• Lead others on GE policies and document actions.
• Maintain customer relations with proactive communications and follow-up.
• Mentor technicians and coordinate field service within the assigned area.
• Ensure calibration, spares management, and documentation as required.
