Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• OR equivalent military education.
• OR formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program.
• OR HS diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
• Analytical and communication skills to explain technical issues to customers clearly.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and repair basic biomedical equipment issues and perform PM and safety inspections.
• Assist more experienced technicians on repairs/resolutions.
• Communicate effectively with teammates and customers.
• Follow GE policies, procedures, hospital protocol, and complete documentation.
• Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and satisfaction.
• Share on-call responsibilities as trained.
• Document all repair actions and submit reports on schedule.
• Ensure calibration and proper care of spares, tools, and test equipment.
