Job summary

GE HealthCare in Georgia seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on complex medical devices. You will lead field service activities, document actions, and ensure compliance with GE policies and hospital procedures.

This role requires strong communication, independent problem solving, and the ability to mentor junior technicians while delivering excellent customer service across assigned accounts.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering or related field with 4+ years servicing medical equipment.
• Equivalent military education with 4+ years servicing medical equipment.
• High school diploma with 6+ years servicing medical equipment.
• Proficiency in electronic documentation using devices and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and repair complex biomedical equipment.
• Lead others on GE policies, hospital protocol, and required documentation.
• Maintain proactive daily communication with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Mentor technicians and lead site activities as needed.
• Manage documentation and reports per schedule.
• Ensure proper care of spares, tools and calibration.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate vendor service delivery.
• Adhere to Health and Human Services and safety requirements.
