Job summary

The Beth Israel Lahey Health Biomedical Services department seeks a Lead Biomedical Equipment Technician to provide day-to-day leadership, advanced troubleshooting, and technical guidance across facilities. Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CBET certification preferred; other leadership certifications encouraged.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible biomedical equipment service experience including leadership and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day technician workload and coverage.
• Lead as senior technical resource for complex equipment and troubleshooting.
• Monitor performance, maintenance completion, backlog, and customer concerns; report to management.
• Mentor staff through onboarding, coaching, and knowledge transfer.
• Provide input on staff performance, workload, and training needs.
• Ensure documentation of service activities within the CMMS and data quality.
