Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician II to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate a broad range of medical equipment across the organization. You will support equipment lifecycle activities and collaborate with clinicians, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

The role includes on-call after-hours coverage, maintaining documentation, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within Clinical Engineering.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years related work experience required.
• 2 years experience in general electronics.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, tests, troubleshoots to component level, repairs and calibrates instrumentation to manufacturer specs.
• Uses schematics, drawings, blueprints and manuals to service equipment.
• Maintains records of repairs, inspections and maintenance.
• Assists in installation of capital equipment and maintains service manuals and catalogs.
• Interfaces with manufacturers on clinical and technical projects as needed.
• Keeps up with advances in electronics and equipment changes.
• Participates in after-hours on-call coverage as required.
