Thomas Jefferson University is seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to provide advanced maintenance, calibration, testing, and repair of biomedical and clinical data/network systems across multiple facilities.

The role involves leading new equipment evaluations, developing PM procedures, and ensuring patient safety by timely response to service calls and collaboration with vendors and clinical teams. Strong communication and independent work in a healthcare environment are essential.

Formación

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in electronics/biomedical tech required.
• 5 years of progressive electronic/electromechanical repair and preventive maintenance may substitute for degree.
• 4 years of progressive experience in biomedical equipment maintenance.

Responsabilidades

• Repairs, installs, inspects, troubleshoots, and calibrates equipment.
• Reviews PM manuals and QA testing procedures for medical equipment.
• Responds to service calls in operating rooms and diagnostic areas.
• Oversees external contractors/vendors for specialized equipment services.
• Maintains device control records and reports incidents affecting patient safety.
