Job summary

Capital i is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician III to serve as a senior technician within the VA Biomedical Engineering Department at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. You will lead maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and lifecycle support for a broad range of medical devices while ensuring regulatory compliance and providing technical mentorship.

The ideal candidate has a degree in a related technical field, at least five years of healthcare equipment experience, and

Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in biomedical equipment technology, biomedical engineering technology, electronics, engineering, information technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and training.
Minimum of five years of hospital or healthcare equipment maintenance experience in a Biomedical Engineering department or healthcare technology management environment.
Familiarity with regulatory, accreditation, and industry standards and knowledge of CMMS and test equipment best practices.

Responsibilities

Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair and provide lifecycle support for a broad range of medical equipment.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and advanced diagnostic support to the department.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements and support equipment installations/upgrades.
