Johnson & Johnson's DePuy Synthes division seeks a Senior Scientist in Biomaterials R&D for Warsaw, IN or West Chester, PA. You will prototype, test, and develop biomaterial technologies and support regulatory submissions across cross‑functional teams.

The role requires strong expertise in chemistry and materials science, plus experience with GMP/QSR and ISO quality systems. Expect collaboration with engineering, regulatory, and manufacturing to deliver safe, effective medical devices.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum six years of biomaterials-based medical devices or combination products experience.
• MS in Chemistry, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent; PhD preferred.
• Experience with GMP, QSR, and ISO quality requirements is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of biomaterial technologies and chemical test methods.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Aufgaben

• Act as SME in biomaterials science and chemical test methods.
• Join cross-functional project core teams with marketing, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory.
• Develop testing protocols for new technologies and concepts.
• Independently perform lab tasks safely in analytical, chemical, or biological R&D labs.
• Design verification/validation plans to support global regulatory strategy.
• Support intellectual property development for novel designs.
• Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing to optimize prototypes.
• Present data with analysis and write technical reports.
• Ensure adherence to New Product Development processes and quality standards.
