Johnson & Johnson's Orthopaedics group is seeking a Senior Scientist, Biomaterials R&D, to advance biomaterials technologies from prototyping to regulatory submissions. You will lead material science activities across cross-functional teams in an environment focused on smarter, less invasive, personalized treatments.

Qualifications

• Six years in development or testing of biomaterials-based medical devices or combination products.
• MS in Chemistry, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent; PhD preferred.
• Experience with medical device regulations (GMP, QSR, ISO).
• Strong communication and leadership skills as a technical lead.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME in biomaterials science and chemical test methods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, manufacturing, quality, regulatory).
• Develop/testing protocols with lab instruments and custom methods.
• Execute design verification/validation plans and test methods for regulatory strategy.
• Support development of IP for new designs or technologies.
