Job description

Cape Fox subsidiary Eagle Health, LLC is seeking candidates for a Senior Biomarker Technician to support a government customer at Ft. Detrick. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position has been established at: $85,000 - $95,000.

The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Responsibilities:

1. Provide laboratory support by performing next generation sequencing, real-time PCR, Nanostring, basic/advanced sample processing, microbiology, and other molecular diagnostic techniques.
2. Execute scientific studies for PIs with minimal supervision, analyze and provide summarized data, assist in the preparation of technical reports, SOPs, and manuscripts, maintain laboratory equipment and suite integrity, and facilitate execution of mission-critical research.
3. Perform lab work required for biomarker verification in collaboration with project PIs in BSL-2, BSL-3, and BSL-4 environments.
4. Perform experiments at BSL-2, BSL-3, and BSL-4 as required by the experimental design and respective organisms.
5. Travel within CONUS/OCONUS may be required to support the diagnostic mission.
6. Perform molecular diagnostic techniques including next generation sequencing, Nanostring panels, Luminex platforms, miRNA quantification, etc.
7. Conduct experiments for detection of etiologic agents in animal and clinical samples.
8. Perform laboratory work involving small animal handling with completed training.
9. Assist PIs in preparing SOPs, technical reports, and manuscripts for publication.
10. Carry out experimental protocols for sample collection, concentration, and processing, including Nanotrap Concentration and DNA/mRNA purification from NHP and human clinical matrices.
11. Present protocols and data at weekly meetings.
12. Manage workload across 3-6 funded projects annually, contributing to quarterly and annual reports.
13. Provide Biomarker data and SOPs to TPOC by the last workday of each month.
14. Maintain BPRP enrollment as per contract and regulations.
