Description of the Senior Biomarker Repository Specialist Position

Cape Fox subsidiary Eagle Health, LLC is seeking candidates for the Senior Biomarker Repository Specialist to support a government customer at Ft. Detrick. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The salary range for this exempt position is $85,000 - $95,000. This range reflects the company's estimate at the time of posting. Benefits include holidays, paid time off, health and dental insurance, vision, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K with company match. Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute protocols for biomarker verification in BSL-2, BSL-3, and BSL-4 environments.
2. Perform experiments at various biosafety levels as required.
3. Conduct molecular diagnostic techniques such as next-generation sequencing, Nanostring panels, Luminex platforms, and miRNA quantification.
4. Detect etiologic agents in animal and clinical samples.
5. Handle small animals with proper training.
6. Assist in preparing technical reports and manuscripts.
7. Execute sample collection and processing, including DNA/mRNA purification from NHP and human matrices.
8. Present protocols and data at meetings.
9. Identify and troubleshoot assay and instrument issues.
10. Travel may be required to support research and presentations.
11. Manage a biosample repository for biomarker evaluation and verification.
12. Perform detailed clinical sample testing for animal and human studies.
13. Train new laboratory members in project-specific techniques.
14. Supervise laboratory spaces to meet safety and functionality standards.
15. Analyze and consolidate biomarker data for reports and publications.
16. Support multiple projects annually, contributing to reports and data management.
17. Revise SOPs as needed.
18. Maintain BPRP enrollment in compliance with regulations.
