Job Description
Cape Fox subsidiary Eagle Health, LLC is seeking candidates for a Senior Biomarker Study Technician to support a government customer at Ft. Detrick. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position has been established at: $85,000 - $95,000.
The above salary range represents the company’s good faith estimate of the potential compensation at posting. We offer benefits including holidays, paid time off, health, dental, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K with company match. The job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing protocols for biomarker verification in BSL-2, BSL-3, and BSL-4 environments.
- Perform experiments at various biosafety levels as required.
- Conduct molecular diagnostic techniques such as next-generation sequencing, Nanostring panels, Luminex platforms, and miRNA quantification.
- Detect etiologic agents in animal and clinical samples.
- Handle small animals with appropriate training.
- Assist in preparing technical reports and manuscripts.
- Perform sample collection, concentration, and processing, including Nanotrap and DNA/mRNA purification from NHP and human matrices.
- Develop and troubleshoot assays for biomarker verification.
- Identify and communicate unexpected or invalid results; troubleshoot assay issues.
- Present protocols and data at weekly meetings and scientific conferences.
- Serve as or assist laboratory supervisor with biosafety responsibilities.
- Perform microbiological techniques, including blood culture and phenotypic characterization.
- Travel may be required to support missions or presentations.
- Conduct detailed clinical sample testing for priority studies.
- Manage laboratory spaces to meet safety and functionality standards.
- Maintain and analyze sample data for reports and publications.
- Train new staff in laboratory techniques.
- Support multiple projects annually, contributing to reports and SOPs.
- Maintain BPRP enrollment and compliance.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree minimum.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Ability to work under deadlines, handle stress, and produce professional results.
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends as needed.
- Strong communication, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
- Self-motivated with minimal oversight.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Some travel may be required.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and US citizenship required.
