Job summary

Parabilis Medicines is seeking a Principal Associate Scientist to join our Biology team in Cambridge, MA, supporting pre-clinical oncology programs. This bench-facing role designs and executes cellular and molecular experiments to understand Helicon candidate engagement and biomarker readouts.

Reporting to the program biology lead, you will develop assays (HTRF, CETSA, AlphaLISA, qPCR, flow cytometry, 3D organoids), interpret data, and deliver decision-enabling results to guide lead optimization

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience in biotech/pharma or a MS with 6+ years.
• Hands-on mammalian cell biology, cell culture, and quantitative cell-based pharmacology or assay development.
• Proficiency in cell and molecular biology techniques such as CETSA, Western, Co-IP, qPCR, ELISA/MSD, imaging, etc.
• Experience using CRISPR/Cas9, RNAi, viral expression/transduction, or related genetic approaches.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, optimize, execute, and troubleshoot cell-based assays to characterize lead Helicons, including target engagement, potency, selectivity, mechanism of action, and differentiation opportunities.
• Develop and apply cellular and molecular assays across 2D/3D models to address questions beyond existing platforms.
• Investigate determinants of drug response and develop pharmacodynamic biomarkers to guide development.
• Present results and recommendations to project teams and maintain rigorous data integrity.
