Job summary

Diploid Genomics, Inc. seeks a Senior Bioinformatics Engineer to analyze large collections of complete human genomes and to build scalable, high‑performance tools for variant calling and analysis.

You will apply rigorous software engineering practices and contribute to biomarker discovery and oncology analyses. In this hands-on role, you will design reproducible pipelines, leverage AI/ML methods, and work with scientists and clinicians to translate cohort-scale findings into actionable insights

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Genomics, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in large-scale genome analysis (whole-genome/pangenome).
• Strong Python and software-engineering foundations; familiarity with at least one compiled language.
• Experience building production-grade bioinformatics pipelines and HPC/cloud workloads.

Responsibilities

• Cohort-scale genome and variant evaluation across SNVs, indels, and structural variants.
• Contribute to a high-performance platform for complete-genome analysis.
• Drive AI/ML methods to improve processing and interpretation of large cohorts.
• Collaborate with scientists and clinicians to translate findings into diagnostics.
