Placements24 is seeking a Senior Computational Biologist to join a distributed research team in a fully remote capacity. You will analyze large-scale omics datasets to uncover insights into complex diseases and identify therapeutic targets, using advanced bioinformatics tools and algorithms.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement computational pipelines for analysis of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and other high-throughput data.
• Develop and apply statistical and machine learning models to identify patterns, biomarkers, and potential drug targets.
• Collaborate with experimental scientists to design studies, interpret results, and guide future research directions.
• Contribute to development of novel algorithms and software tools for biological data analysis.
• Communicate complex findings through reports, presentations, and publications.
• Maintain detailed documentation of code, methodologies, and analysis workflows for reproducibility.
