Job summary

Lilly is seeking a scientist to advance bioassay science supporting biotherapeutics. You will characterize potency and biological activity from early development through commercialization, working hands-on with cell- and gene-based platforms and collaborating across Analytical Development, Quality Control, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs.

The role emphasizes technical challenges with mentorship and cross-functional exposure in a fast-paced environment, onsite at the Indianapolis facility.

Qualifications

• MS or BS with pharma/biotech experience as specified in role requirements.
• Hands-on experience executing potency assays (binding or cell-based).
• Mammalian cell culture experience and engineered cell lines exposure.
• Strong communication and ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support development, optimization, and implementation of potency and bioassay methods.
• Assist transfer of assays for QC release and stability.
• Execute experiments, analyze data, and contribute to regulatory submissions.
• Maintain and qualify cell culture reagents and instruments.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners in cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for bioassay development.
