Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis is seeking a bioanalytical scientist to advance potency and bioassay development for Lilly’s biotherapeutics and gene therapy programs.

You will work hands-on with cell-based assays, data analysis, and collaboration across Analytical Development, Quality Control and Regulatory Affairs to ensure product quality and regulatory readiness. The role offers mentorship and cross-functional exposure within a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience executing potency assays such as binding or cell-based assays.
• Proficiency in mammalian cell culture and handling of adherent and suspension cell lines.
• Experience with engineered cell lines used in bioassay development and qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support development, optimization and implementation of potency bioassays for proteins, peptides, and new modalities.
• Assist transfer of potency assays for QC release and stability testing.
• Execute experiments, analyze data, and contribute to regulatory submission documents.
• Support lab operations including cell culture, reagents, and instrument qualification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for bioassay development.
