Job summary

Alector Inc. is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist in Bioanalytical Sciences at our South San Francisco headquarters. This hands-on role focuses on developing, optimizing, and qualifying PK, ADA, and biomarker assays across CSF, serum, and tissue matrices, with CRO coordination and GLP-aligned practices.

You will work on antibodies, bispecifics, and conjugated siRNA/ASOs, using ELISA/MSD and advanced lab platforms while integrating automation and AI to improve throughput and data quality.

Qualifications

• BS or MS with hands-on ability to develop PK/ADA/biomarker assays in CSF/serum/tissue lysates.
• Experience designing, developing, optimizing, troubleshooting, and qualifying assays.
• Direct bioanalytical work with antibodies, bispecifics, siRNA/ASOs preferred.
• Strong ELISA/MSD assay experience, evaluating sensitivity, selectivity, precision, matrix effects.
• Experience with CROs in assay transfer, validation, sample analysis, troubleshooting, data review.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop PK, ADA, and biomarker assays.
• Plan, design, optimize, and qualify ligand-binding assays across matrices.
• Support multiple modalities including antibodies and conjugated siRNA/ASOs.
• Lead external CRO coordination for transfer, validation, and data review.
• Apply lab automation and AI tools to accelerate assay development and data quality.
