Job summary
Alector Inc. seeks an experienced Protein Sciences leader in South San Francisco to oversee internal and CRO-supported protein projects.
You will lead a small team, develop antibody-oligonucleotide conjugate capabilities, and ensure readiness from discovery through development. You will train staff, troubleshoot complex assays, and integrate AI tools to accelerate workflows while collaborating across discovery, platform, development, and CMC teams to address developability and manufacturing
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent with 8+ years in biotech/pharma.
- Experience leadingProtein Sciences staff and external partners.
- Proven track record advancing proteins/antibodies toward development.
Responsibilities
- Lead internal and external Protein Sciences activities.
- Build and scale protein purification, conjugation, and analytical capabilities.
- Mentor team and manage CRO partnerships to meet timelines.
- Collaborate across discovery, development, and CMC teams to address developability.
