Qualifications

• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, or a related field.
• Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word; working knowledge of billing or financial systems.
• Working knowledge of business and management principles, including planning and leadership.
• Considerable knowledge of financial transaction processing and accounts receivable in a grant/contract environment.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, sponsor, and institutional policies related to financial management and billing compliance.
• Considerable organizational and time-management skills for multiple deadlines and high volume.
• Considerable logic to evaluate alternatives and problem-solving.
• Considerable attention to detail and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
• Considerable ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee billing and accounts receivable for sponsored research projects.
• Review and approve billing transactions; ensure sponsor compliance.
• Prepare and monitor detailed invoices for complex projects.
• Track unbilled receivables and support monthly/quarterly/year-end reporting & audits.
• Provide leadership to billing staff and coordinate with Controller and campus partners.
