The Sponsored Programs Billing Supervisor supervises the billingfunction for sponsored research projects within Sponsored ProgramsAdministration and oversees invoicing and accounts receivableactivities for a large and complex portfolio of grant andcontract-funded projects. The Sponsored Programs Billing Supervisorensures invoices are prepared accurately and in accordance withsponsor agreements, federal regulations, and institutionalfinancial policies while supporting the effective financialmanagement of sponsored program funds. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving billingtransactions, preparing and monitoring detailed invoices forcomplex projects, tracking unbilled receivables, and supportingmonthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting and auditpreparation. The position serves as a technical resource forcomplex billing questions and works closely with the Controller andcampus partners to resolve billing issues, ensure compliance withsponsor requirements, and support consistent billing practicesacross Sponsored Programs Administration. The Sponsored Programs Billing Supervisor provides leadership andguidance to billing staff, supports training and workloadcoordination, and contributes to the development and improvement ofbilling procedures and operational processes. This role plays animportant part in supporting the financial stewardship and timelyrecovery of sponsored research funds for the university. Experienceworking with grant or contract billing and familiarity with federalresearch compliance requirements is beneficial for success in thisrole.
