Job summary

Howard University is seeking a Sponsored Programs Billing & Reporting Analyst to manage end-to-end cash management, invoicing, and financial reporting for sponsored awards. You will ensure timely and accurate billing, maintain audit-ready documentation, and support sponsor requirements across the Office of Research.

Reporting to the Billing & Reporting Manager, this role collaborates with Treasury, post-award teams, and departmental admins to optimize revenue recovery and compliance with 2 CFR

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in sponsored program accounting or related area preferred.
• Familiarity with PMS, ASAP, G5, ACM$ and workday systems is desirable.
• Experience with financial documentation and databases preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process invoices for grants and contracts aligned to sponsor terms.
• Submit financial reports (interim, annual, final) per sponsor terms and regs.
• Monitor deadlines and manage the reporting calendar for timely submissions.
• Reconcile LOC drawdowns to Workday expenditure data monthly/quarterly.
• Coordinate with Treasury on cash receipts, allocations and reconciliations.
• Analyze expenditures and labor distributions for federal reporting and billing.
