Job summary

Holland & Hart LLP is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to manage client bills with advanced knowledge of accounting software, including electronic billing and third-party sites. You will support attorneys and staff to ensure accurate time and disbursement entries and meet billing deadlines.

The role requires extensive billing experience, proficiency in MS Office, and the ability to work independently while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of related experience or an Associate Degree in a related field.
• Fundamental knowledge of accounting software and basic accounting principles.
• Analytical skills to apply knowledge and foresee problems.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills.
• Above average typing and ten-key skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Good organizational and planning skills for timely billing.
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills across all levels.
• Dependability and discretion in handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and handles all aspects of billing for specified attorneys and clients.
• Assists attorneys and staff with billing questions.
• Works with clients on billing guidelines and e-billing setup.
• Processes time, disbursement, and billing reports for attorneys, staff and clients.
• Reviews client intake memos for billing guidelines, e-billing requirements, and data accuracy.
• Assists with researching client credits and account reconciliations.
• Supports month-end closing and back-up duties.
• Maintains proficiency in accounting software, Word and Excel; participates in trainings.
• Keeps billing knowledge current and assists with ebilling requirements.
