Job summary

Juniper Square is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to join our Billing & Collections team. You will own invoice processing, cash application, and handle complex billing scenarios within Zone, collaborating with cross‑functional partners in Fund Admin/CX and Deal Desk.

This role requires 4+ years of billing experience, familiarity with NetSuite/Zone, Salesforce, and advanced Excel, plus a proactive, high‑growth mindset. The U.S.

Qualifications

• 4+ years billing experience in complex scenarios.
• Ability to interpret vague contract terms to determine billing consequences.
• Familiarity with Zone or NetSuite billing; ability to train teammates.
• Proficiency in cash applications; matching payments to invoices.
• Experience with Salesforce for contracts, accounts, and opportunities.
• Experience using AI productivity tools to enhance workflows.
• Background in Services and SaaS is preferred.
• Collaborative and proactive in a high-speed environment.
• Advanced Excel skills, especially Fund Admin calculations.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts and correspondence to determine billing treatment.
• Process invoices and credit memos for complex scenarios.
• Guide teammates on invoice processing workflows within Zone.
• Review invoices for accuracy before sending to customers.
• Respond to billing inquiries with accurate, timely answers.
• Perform daily cash application and match payments to invoices.
• Own follow-up on past-due accounts and escalate as needed.
• Monitor AR aging and flag at-risk balances.
• Contribute to process improvements and workflow refinements.
• Support higher workload during peak billing cycles.
• Partner with Deal Desk on contract structuring and with Fund Admin/CX on billing.
• Utilize AI tools to boost productivity across billing workflows.
