Job summary

Render is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Billing to lead the engineering organization responsible for usage-based billing systems, invoicing, and financial reporting. You will own multi-quarter strategy, partner with Finance and Product, and drive pricing and revenue outcomes with a strong leadership presence.

The role requires deep engineering leadership, hands-on review of critical code, and the ability to scale a high-velocity billing platform in a fast-paced cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead and grow engineering teams.
• Experience reviewing code and contributing when necessary.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and driving clarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead Billing engineering team and ownership of charge accuracy.
• Own roadmap from usage metering to invoicing and financial reporting.
• Build monitoring, reconciliation, and tests to catch errors early.
• Partner with Finance, Product and Customer Experience to align roadmap with business needs.
• Hire and develop engineers to support team growth and focus.
• Make key architectural decisions balancing long-term investments and pricing launches.
• Develop career growth practices for senior ICs on the team.
