Job summary

Databricks, the Data + AI company, seeks a Big Data Solutions Architect (Resident Solutions Architect) to work with professional services on Databricks-based projects. You will design, build, and deploy data architectures, guide customers through transformations, and ensure successful adoption of Databricks across client environments.

You’ll engage with customers, engineering teams, and project managers, providing architectural guidance, training, and a high level of customer service.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with two or more Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark and Spark internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps.
• Design and deployment of performant end-to-end data architectures.
• Experience with technical project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of customer technical projects including reference architectures, productionizing use cases, and end-to-end design, build and deployment.
• Collaborate with engagement managers to scope professional services work with customer input.
• Guide strategic customers through big data transformations and migrations.
• Provide architecture guidance and implement customer projects to ensure successful adoption of Databricks.
• Offer escalated support for customer operational issues.
• Partner with Databricks teams to deliver engagements and gather product feedback.
• Travel to customer sites up to 20%.
