Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Big Data Solutions Architect (Resident Solutions Architect) to join our Professional Services team. You will work with clients on short to medium term engagements on big data challenges using the Databricks platform, delivering data engineering, data science, and cloud projects while training and integrating with client systems.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering data engineering and analytics projects.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or JavaScript and modern frameworks.
• Experience with at least two cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong knowledge of distributed computing with Apache Spark and Spark internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments and MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement reference architectures for big data and AI use cases.
• Scope professional services work with engagement managers and customers.
• Lead end-to-end design, build, and deployment for transformative projects.
• Provide advanced technical guidance and escalate handling for issues.
