Job summary

ThoughtSpot is seeking a solutions engineer in Chicago to partner with customers and articulate AI-powered analytics value. You will run discovery, demonstrate ROI, and tailor product evaluations using customers’ data to show real business impact.

The role requires 2+ years in pre-sales BI/analytics, strong SQL, scripting skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and business audiences. In-office 3+ days per week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in solutions engineering (presales) with BI/analytics focus.
• Advanced SQL proficiency.
• Advanced scripting in JavaScript or Python.
• Strong data modeling knowledge and practice.
• Hands-on with Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery or similar.
• Experience with BI tools like Tableau/Looker/MicroStrategy.
• Ability to translate customer needs into timely solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong presentation and demos for diverse audiences.
• Understanding of cloud computing benefits.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment.
• High curiosity, initiative and coachability.
• Proactive with mentoring and teamwork.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Present and articulate business value of the platform.
• Demonstrate product with customer data to differentiate from competition.
• Define and run product evaluations using customers' data.

• Build trusted advisor relationships with customers and AEs.
• Manage multiple engagements without losing momentum.
• Share learnings across the team to compound knowledge.
• Travel to customer sites as needed.
