Job summary

OneSix seeks a Senior Lead Engineer, BI, to design and deliver data-driven solutions for clients, leading project teams, shaping scopes, and translating business needs into BI strategies.

The role will architect scalable data models, ETL pipelines, and enterprise dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, and Snowflake on AWS/Azure, while mentoring engineers and collaborating with executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor5 or Master5 degree in CS, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related field.
• 6+ years in BI, data engineering, or equivalent role.
• Expert SQL, data modeling, and ETL.
• Extensive experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the BI strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead and mentor a team of BI engineers.
• Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to translate needs into BI solutions.
• Design, implement, and optimize scalable data models and architectures for reporting and analytics.
• Oversee ETL pipelines ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Manage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and data warehousing (Snowflake).
• Lead enterprise dashboards, reports, and self-service BI tools.
• Implement BI solutions with Power BI, Tableau, Looker or equivalents.
• Integrate analytics, predictive modeling, and AI insights into BI platforms.
• Enforce BI best practices, data governance, security, and docs.
• Monitor and improve query performance and scalability.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to align data strategies.
