Job summary

Summit Utilities seeks a Senior BI Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of its enterprise analytics architecture. You will act as the technical authority for Power BI, semantic modeling, data architecture, and BI development standards.

Working with Data Engineering and stakeholders, you will translate data into scalable analytics solutions supporting operational, financial, and executive decision-making while guiding the growth of Microsoft Fabric analytics.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
10+ years in BI, analytics engineering, enterprise reporting, or data warehousing.
6+ years Power BI development with semantic modeling and datasets.
3+ years leading or architecting with technical standards.

Responsibilities

Lead design, governance, and optimization of enterprise analytics architecture.
Establish and maintain best practices for data modeling, security, and deployment.
Architect scalable analytics solutions for operational, financial, and executive reporting.
Partner with Data Engineering to design curated data models.
Design dataflows, semantic models, and refresh processes for performance.
Define role-based security across reporting environments.
Monitor Microsoft Fabric usage and BI ecosystem performance.
Mentor BI developers and enforce standards.
Develop architecture documentation and governance standards.
Advise leadership on BI strategy and future-state architecture.
